In celebration of International Women’s Day, Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN), in partnership with Women of Impakt (WOI), carried out a community outreach in Ikorodu, Lagos. The event captures varieties like; support, education, and empowerment directly to women at the grassroots level.
The program combined practical support with meaningful engagement. Participants received essential items, including food supplies and sanitary pads, while also taking part in sessions focused on:
- Menstrual hygiene
- Exercise and overall wellbeing
- Financial awareness, particularly saving with limited resources
An energizer session added a vibrant touch to the day, celebrating the strength and resilience of women within the community.
A representative from WIN also engaged participants, sharing the organization’s mission and reinforcing its commitment to empowering women through knowledge, opportunity, and support.
The outreach depicted the power of collaboration and community-driven impact, with strong engagement and participation from attendees. Despite a higher turnout than expected, additional provisions ensured that every woman present was supported.
As WIN continues to build strategic partnerships, the focus remains on expanding reach, deepening impact, and ensuring that more women are equipped to thrive.
