QUALITY EDUCATION

Obtaining quality education is the foundation to creating sustainable development. Girls education is a strategic development priority, in addition to improving quality of life, access to inclusive education equips women and girls with the tools to develop innovative solutions to the world’s greatest problems. Better educated women tend to be healthier, participate more in the formal labour market, earn higher incomes and enable better health care and education should they choose to become mothers. Some of the reasons for low levels of education include inadequately trained teachers, poor conditions of schools and equity issues related to opportunities provided to the girl child.

Women Impacting Nigeria has taken strides to create programs that empower and educate females in the society. We have provided educational scholarships, teachers training, workshops and mentoring programs.

We currently have over 300 mentors available for the WIN One Woman, One Child mentoring program. The aim is to inspire and develop educational and career aspirations, reduce female dropouts in school, increase the number of girls advancing to secondary school and beyond and to show females that WIN cares about helping them achieve their goals and fulfilling their potential. Through our community-based programs, girls can rewrite their stories, empower their families and give back to their communities.
