On March 12, 2026, Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN), in partnership with IHS, celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 by supporting 200 vulnerable women in Bariga, Lagos, and the Wassa IDP Camp in Abuja.
The outreach was designed to empower women in underserved communities and provide support to those facing economic and social challenges.
The initiative reached 55 women living with disabilities, 73 young widows, 57 low-income nursing mothers, and 15 mothers of children with disabilities.
Beyond the numbers, the outreach reflected Women Impacting Nigeria’s commitment to women’s empowerment in Nigeria, community development, and inclusive support for vulnerable women.
