Christianah Feechi Madu – Student/Solar Entrepreneur
Age: 23
WHO I AM : My name is Christianah Madu, a 23-year-old final-year student and founder of PrimeVolts Solar. At 16, I was first drawn into the world of renewable energy. By 19, I took a bold step and founded my own solar company. Today, I have grown into both a student and a social entrepreneur, leading a team that delivers clean energy solutions while training other young people especially girls to see themselves as part of the climate and tech space.
THE CHALLENGE I FACED:
As a young girl stepping into the male dominated world of renewable energy, I faced skepticism. People doubted my technical abilities and dismissed my vision. Beyond gender bias, there were financial struggles, and the pressure of balancing academics with entrepreneurship. At times, I felt invisible in rooms where my voice mattered most.
Instead of giving up, I took those challenges as fuel. At 19, I officially founded PrimeVolts Solar, a social enterprise bringing clean and reliable energy solutions to households, communities, and small businesses.
– I have trained over 200 girls and women in basic solar technology, showing them that they too belong in tech and climate spaces.
– I partnered with NGOs and state governments to equip women and youth with renewable energy skills, creating pathways for financial independence.
– My team and I have powered homes and businesses with solar systems, ensuring energy access and reducing dependence on unstable power supply
– Looking ahead, our mission is to power 3 underserved communities, giving families and entrepreneurs the chance to thrive with clean, sustainable energy.
THE GIRL I AM:
I am not just a solar entrepreneur, I am a change leader on the frontline of crises. I believe clean energy is more than technology. It is dignity, hope, and opportunity for every girl, family, and community.
The Change I Inspire
Through my story, I want girls to know: Your age or gender does not limit your impact.
