WIN 2023 VOLUNTEERS’ HANGOUT AND RECOGNITION CEREMONY

Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN) held a Volunteer Hangout and Recognition Ceremony at Freedom Park, Lagos Island, on Friday, December 22, 2023. It was a celebration of accomplishments, appreciation, and empowering moments.

WIN’s volunteers are a team of committed and dedicated women who share a common goal with WIN, and serve in various capacities to see a gender equitable Nigeria.

The event featured an appreciation session to acknowledge each volunteer for their commitment in different ways and capacities.

An inspiring pep talk was also delivered to  encourage everyone to stand firm as ambassadors for themselves, the organization, and the nation.

Different engaging games and activities were played, including riddles and the fun “Flip the Bottle” game, favorite comedian, charade among others, adding a playful element to the gathering.

The highlight of the day was the recognition ceremony, where Ruth Boyle, Gift Nweke, Rodiat Asake, Kafayat Owokoniran, and Glory Solomon received certificates. Kafayat Owokoniran was honored as Volunteer of the Year, earning a well-deserved cash prize.

The Volunteers had a lot of fun, and there was more than enough to eat and drink.

Plans were also shared towards the incoming year and the volunteers renewed their commitment to the organization and the achievement of the sustainable development goals.

Women Impacting Nigeria is a volunteer run organization and it welcomes volunteers from every state in Nigeria without regards to religious or political orientation.
