Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN) hosted a powerful Movie Evening on November 5, 2022, at Filmhouse Cinemas, Surulere, Lagos, where members of the WIN community watched The Woman King. More than just entertainment, the event was a platform to inspire participants with the strength and resilience of women as portrayed by the all-female warriors of the ancient Kingdom of Dahomey.
The movie sparked important conversations around gender equality, identity, and the historical contributions of African women, while reinforcing WIN’s belief in the power of positive perception to shape a woman’s role in society.
