On the 22nd of March 2025, Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN) partnered with the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, DevGlobal, Dev-Afrique, and GTB, to empower business women in Bariga, Lagos. Through the AccelerateHer Outreach, 50 women entrepreneurs received financial assistance and skills to scale their businesses
Impact Of AccelerateHer
The AccelerateHer Outreach went beyond just conversations and training the women. It was backed by real action to change the financial status and boost the businesses of these women. A Micro-Grants of ₦50,000 was awarded to each participant.
These grants were aimed at financially supporting these women and giving their businesses an opportunity to scale. As a result, these women were able to purchase raw materials and expand their individual businesses. But the impact of AccelerateHer goes far beyond the grants.
For many participants, this was the first time they received structured training in financial literacy and business growth strategies. The sessions, provided practical, applicable knowledge on budgeting and investment to help these women achieve long-term financial sustainability.

Beyond AccelerateHer
One of the most impactful aspects of AccelerateHer is its Post-Event Mentorship Program. WIN understands that growth doesn’t happen in one day. That’s why we are providing ongoing advisory support, and networking opportunities to help these women navigate challenges and scale their enterprises successfully.

Through this initiative, WIN is fostering a network of empowered female entrepreneurs who will, in turn, become change agents in their communities. The impact extends beyond the 50 women. We are building financially independent women who will create jobs and contribute to Nigeria’s economy.
