Gender-based violence (GBV) is a pervasive global issue affecting millions of women and girls worldwide. Shockingly, 35% of women globally have experienced physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence. Additionally, as many as 38% of murders of women are committed by an intimate partner, highlighting the severity of this issue. Moreover, 200 million women have undergone female genital mutilation/cutting, further underscoring the need for urgent action.
