Quality education is the cornerstone of sustainable development. At Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN), we recognize that girls’ education is not only a strategic development priority but also a transformative tool for improving the quality of life. By providing access to inclusive education, we equip women and girls with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle the world’s most pressing challenges.

Educated women are healthier, more active in the formal labor market, earn higher incomes, and contribute to better healthcare and education for future generations. However, barriers such as inadequately trained teachers, poor school conditions, and inequitable opportunities for girls hinder progress.

WIN’s Initiatives

WIN is dedicated to breaking these barriers through innovative programs designed to empower and educate females across society. Here’s how we’re making a difference:

Educational Scholarships and Support:

  • Providing scholarships, school materials, and educational support to schools including:
    • Makoko Community, Lagos
    • Aiyetoro Senior Grammar School, Lagos
    • Eva Adelaja Secondary School, Lagos
    • Tarkwa Bay Government Secondary School, Lagos
    • Falomo Senior High School, Lagos
    • Government Senior Secondary School, Maroko, Lagos
    • Okesuna High School, Lagos
    • Ireti Grammar School, Lagos
    • Oke-Ira, Lagos
    • Kuramo Senior College, Lagos
    • Igbo Elerin Community, Lagos
    • Magboro Community Secondary School, Ogun State
    • Osemwende Primary School, Benin

Fund Her Education Program:

  • In partnership with Edugrant, we provide scholarships and bursaries for 1,000 girls. This program ensures seamless access to tertiary funding, mentorship, and internships, empowering girls to pursue higher education and career goals.

Mobile School Initiative:

  • We’ve launched the first-of-its-kind mobile school in Lagos, reaching over 500 primary school children. This initiative brings education directly to underserved communities, ensuring no child is left behind.

One Woman, One Child Mentorship Program:

  • With over 300 mentors across Nigeria, this program aims to inspire and develop educational and career aspirations. By reducing female dropout rates and increasing the number of girls advancing to secondary school and beyond, we show our commitment to helping them achieve their goals and fulfill their potential.

Through these community-based programs, girls can rewrite their stories, empower their families, and give back to their communities.
