WIN’s PAD A GIRL MAY 2022
Poor sanitary materials can affect the social and mental well-being of any female; the use of health compromising materials can undermine their safety and dignity. A girl’s inability to manage her period is caused by lack of access to affordable hygienic materials, which leads to school absenteeism, reduced level of concentration in class, and low participation.
In our bid to combat this, on the 26th May, 2022, in commemoration of the International Menstrual Hygiene Day, Women Impacting Nigeria in partnership with National Youth Service Corps will be teaching school girls in Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos how to make reliable, effective, efficient and exceptional reusable pads. They will be made from accessible, available and affordable materials and are leakage free and safe for them to use.
